The book The Elements by John Boyne

I’m an avid reader. This book is easily one of the best books I’ve read in years. My book club read it after I recommended it and every single person agreed that it was one of the best books they have come across in ages as well. It is difficult in some parts as sexual abuse figures largely in the plot. However; if you can manage to get through the challenging subject matter that is very upsetting and even horrific at moments… the pay off is incredible. This is a read that will stay with you and make all the books you read in proximity to it feel lackluster.
